Automatic Landing Technique Assessment using Latent Problem Solving Analysis

چکیده
Latent Problem Solving Analysis is applied to model the decision processes of expert instructors judging professional pilots’ landing technique in a B747 flying simulator, showing that that a memory-based model can do well in the absence of more conscious, logical processes.

Automatic Landing of Small Helicopters on 4 DOF Moving Platforms
In this research, an automatic control system is designed for landing of a small helicopter on a 4 DOF moving platform. The platform has three translational and one directional degree of freedom. The controller design approach is based on development of helicopter nonlinear dynamic model into the SDC (State Dependent Coefficient) form and real time solving of state dependent Riccati equation (S...
متن کاملMathematical Model and Vibration Analysis of Aircraft with Active Landing Gear System using Linear Quadratic Regulator Technique
This paper deals with the study and comparison of passive and active landing gear system of the aircraft and dynamic responses due to runway irregularities while the aircraft is taxying. The dynamic load and vibration caused by the unevenness of runway will result in airframe fatigue, discomfort of passengers and the reduction of the pilot’s ability to control the aircraft. One of the objectiv...
متن کاملSelecting the Visual Landing Markers Located on a Ship Deck for UAV Automatic Landing
Of all the flight modes of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the landing approach and the landing itself are the most difficult and dangerous ones. To perform an automatic landing on a ship deck using a computer vision system (CVS), a UAV must analyze the visual landing markers located on the deck. When the UAV is about to start landing, these markers must be clearly visible and discernible. The...
متن کاملAutomatic Evaluation for E - Learning Using Latent Semantic Analysis : A Use Case is ( SNA ) in OnlineCourses
Assessment in education allows for obtaining, organizing, and presenting information about how much and how well the student is learning. The current paper aims at analysing and discussing some of the most state-of-the-art assessment systems in education. Later, this work presents a specific use case developed for the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, which is an online university. An automatic ...
متن کاملDamage Assessment using an Inverse Fracture Mechanics approach
This paper studies the application of an inverse methodology for problem solving in fracture mechanics using the finite element analysis. The method was applied to both detection of subsurface cracks and the study of propagating cracks. The procedure for detection of subsurface cracks uses a first order optimization analysis coupled with a penalty function to solve for the unknown geometric par...
